About the Owner - Ted
The opening of New Beginnings was a new beginning for Deb and me, but let's start at the beginning. I worked UPS in 1977 and retired in 2005. I tried my hand at my own repair business from 2006-2009, and I then worked at Damar, home for mentally challenged young adults/adults, for three years, 2009-2012.
I met Debbie in 2007. She was an orthopedic nurse. Unfortunately, approximately 20 years ago, she contracted meningitis. One of the most notable side effects to this are random seizures. Tired of the corporate grind and wanting to keep her safe, I decided then, along with Debbie, to take the plunge back into the consignment world.
In 2012 I started New Beginnings Consignment shop. This seemed to help Debbie with her seizures. She loves to interact with all of our consignees, booth renters, and especially customers. It has all been good so far.
